VOLUNTEERS
Thank you, PTA volunteers!
Our executive board continues to work hard for our school, and we simply couldn't do it without all of you helping. Thank you for stepping up in ways that are big or small. This year we've had volunteers working on social media, translation, Book Fairs, PPIE, Book Club, Box Tops and website updating- thank you! We need you, we appreciate you, and we look forward to a future where we can work on some of this in person again!
Our board recognizes how tough it's been to parent during distance learning. Everyone is stretched thin! The idea of anything extra is daunting! Volunteer participation is down, and we get it. But we still want to continue equipping our teachers and enriching your student's education. We can still use some help so that we can have a Fun Run, a 2020-2021 yearbook, and a plan for next year's board. Please consider the following volunteer opportunities:
Executive Board Candidates
Now we are looking for candidates for the 2021-2022 PTA Executive Board. We are looking for broad representation (we currently have only DI parents and few bilingual members), PTA membership is the only requirement. You can find a description of the positions here. Serving on the PTA board is an awesome way to get connected, learn about your child's school, and be a part of an awesome team! Yearbook
Currently we have a team member (thank you!) but no lead on this project. We would hate for our students (especially 5th graders) to not receive a yearbook this year, but as it stands we don't have the manpower. We're looking for 3-4 more people to share the responsibilities. Last year's coordinator can provide guidance. Contact president@vvespta.org if you'd like to get involved!
Fun Run
We could use your creativity! Join the Fun Run team to plan a virtual event this school year! We’ll meet a few times over zoom in the next month to come up with awesome ideas, prizes and ways to get our mustangs moving. (This is the time to get involved - a virtual event takes much less work!) If you're interested, email fundraising@vvespta.org .
