Does your child want to submit a visual arts piece for the Reflections Art Contest but you don’t have the time to help them? Then, the PTA Reflections Art Workshop is for you. An art workshop will be held on Thurs, Oct 2nd from 3pm-5pm in the Valley View MPR to help children prepare a visual art project for the Reflections Art Contest. Two local artists/art instructors are volunteering their time to help children with their pieces. For a $5 donation, your child can come to this workshop and use the art supplies provided.

Register now. There are limited spaces available. Please register your child by sending an email to Megan Gates with your child’s name, grade and parent contact information.

In preparation for the workshop, please:

• • Read the contest rules for Reflections Visual Art submissions found here

  • Talk with your child about what they would create in keeping with the Reflections theme – “The World would be a better place if...”

  • Provide a canvas (no bigger than 24x30) or use the paper provided at the workshop

  • Bring a $5 donation for supplies
