Join the Pleasanton PTA Council's Special Needs Committee

Who we are: A group of highly motivated volunteers, with representatives from each school and PUSD, who are committed to making a difference in the lives of special needs children and families.

Who we serve: The special needs community of Pleasanton. We define "special needs" broadly -- as applying to any child with learning or processing differences, physical disabilities, speech and language difficulties, social and emotional issues, etc. and gifted learners.

What we do:

• • Support and educate our community

  • Foster relationships between parents and PUSD

  • Spread disability awareness throughout the community

What YOU can do:

• • Fill a spot on the committee as a school liaison. Share your ideas and offer your unique perspective as a special needs parent. It doesn't take a great time commitment to make a difference.

  • Become a general member. For those who can't commit as a School Liaison but are interested in what we do and might be able to help out occasionally.
